You can always find something special going on in abandoned places of old towns. Štinjan in particular, offers opportunities to explore four fortresses of the old Austro-Hungarian empire. Let your instinct reign along with the fresh breeze of air coming from the sea. The only people who know about those places are people from Štinjan, some people from Pula also know about the forts, but everyone wants to keep that treasure for themselves. In that case, we will reveal to you all the hidden mystic from the past. Wake up all your senses with our bike tour through the old-time accompanied by swimming in crystal clear waters.

At the beginning of the tour, we head directly to the coast of Puntižela which is part of Štinjan where we’ll see the first war ruins of our trip. They are old about 120 years, used for storing aircraft. We continue to the old part of town Štinjan from where we head up to Fort Punta Christo which is home of the best underground music festivals in Europe. Going under the fort, the well-known wiggly bridge of Fort Punta Christo is waiting for you to walk on it! The location where the bridge is located is absolutely unique like you woke up in a fairytale, there is also a special slide from which you can dive into crystal clear water. The next fort which is waiting is Fort Monte Grosso from which you can clearly see even Pula from the roof-top. Passing the beautiful ship harbor “Zonka”, we jump to the spookiest part of our trip, visiting the old abandoned fuel storing units from the war. Going to the Fort Munida which is our last fort on the list, you will be able to descend to the tunnels of which the fort is keeping you away from.

Through this explorative bike tour full of off-grid surprises hidden in a shell waiting for you to reveal them, maybe, you will find yourself in a world of nature exploring, just like we did. The last destination of this trip is Fažana where you will have the opportunity to taste the most delicious ice-cream, probably in your whole life.
