WHO CAN JOIN OUR KAYAK / SUP / BIKE TRIPS?

No previous experience is required for kayak / sup / bike trips, and anyone can participate. It is necessary to be in an adequate physical condition for the trip that has been booked. Each of our trips has an active and resting time, which is clearly indicated by each trip’s description.

DO WE ENTER THE CAVE BY KAYAK?

The large cave is not entered by kayak. They are parked on the shore and then we swim 30 meters into the cave.

ARE SINGLE OR DOUBLE KAYAKS USED ON TRIPS?

Double kayaks are used on excursions, except in situations where the total number of people is odd. If you are alone or in an odd group, we will pair you with someone in a double kayak if a single kayak is not available.

WILL THERE BE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CAVE OTHER THAN OUR GROUP?

It depends on the date of your kayak trip to the cave. In the pre- and post-season, you can expect much smaller number of people or even an empty cave. During the peak of the season (July & August) more people are expected in the cave. If there are more people in the cave, we will wait in front of the cave until it is free, and then enter to explore the cave with maximum possible commodity.

DO WE HAVE TO JUMP INTO THE SEA?

Jumping is not necessary to enter the cave, but adrenaline lovers can try jumping off cliffs which are up to max. 5m. Jumping is at your own risk only.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU ON A TRIP?

KAYAK TRIP

  • Non-slipping water slippers for easier movement on the rocks
  • Swimsuit
  • T-shirt
  • Hat
  • Cream with SPF
  • Towel

We advise you not to take too many things with you, in order to make kayaking easier.
You don’t need a mobile phone or any other devices, but if you want to take additional photos you can bring the phone with you, at your own risk.

BIKE TRIP

  • Sport shoes
  • Comfortable cycling clothes
  • Backpack
  • Swimsuit
  • Hat
  • Cream with SPF
  • Towel

You can bring with you a cell phone or other devices at your own risk.

WHAT CAN I RENT AT A KAYAK LOCATION BEFORE THE TRIP?

  • Waterproof mobile phone case
  • Hat
  • Water slippers

WHEN AND HOW WILL WE GET PHOTOS FROM THE TRIP?

Photos from the trip will be delivered to your e-mail address via Google Drive within a few days after the trip. Photos will be available for download 20 days after the trip.

WHAT IF WE ARE LATE FOR A TRIP?

In cases of being late to the agreed date and start time of the trip, please contact us by phone so that we help you get to the location. We can wait up to 10 minutes from the agreed start date of the trip. During the peak of the season (15 July-25 August) and due to heavy crowds, it is necessary to arrive at the location 20 minutes before the start of the trip.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER CONDITIONS CHANGE DURING THE TRIP?

Due to the specific climate on Cape Kamenjak, we have a lot of sunny days a year. The weather can be different from the weather in Pula, so if it is rainy in Pula on Cape Kamenjak it can be sunny, and it is the case very often. If bad weather occurs during the trip, which happens very rarely, we will make sure that you return safely to the starting point. Cape Kamenjak has several bays where you can hide in case of bad weather conditions, while we also have a lifeboat available should it be needed.

WHAT IF WE HAVE A FLAT TIRE WHEN RENTING A BIKE?

In case of a bicycle breakdown during the rental, the customer needs to contact us immediately. Depending on the damage, if we can, we will perform the repair service in the field. If we are not able to perform it directly in the field, the customer is obliged to return to the location where the bike was rented. The customer will be obliged to pay for all damages occurred during the lease except for the flat or damaged tire.

UNTIL WHAT TIME CAN WE RETURN THE RENTED EQUIPMENT?

The customer is obliged to return the rented equipment by the end of working hours. From 1 May to 15 June, it is 18.00, and from 15 June to 1 September until 19.00, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Jistra Adventures is not obliged to pick up the equipment after working hours. In such cases the equipment remains with the customer until the next working day at their own risk, while the charge will be applied for additional rental hours.
